About GAL18
GAL18 is an independent collection of the questions Latter-day Saints and their friends actually hear — and the best faithful answers we can gather from the Restoration.
The name is GAL18. Critics reach for Galatians 1:8 first, almost every time. That verse is why the app exists. It is not the app’s title.
It is not an official website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Official doctrine lives in the scriptures and in the teachings of living prophets and apostles. We point to those first.
Each topic starts with the Bible (King James Version beside the NRSVUE), then shows how the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and modern prophets confirm or correctly interpret the same passages. Where the Dead Sea Scrolls or related ancient writings shed light — divine council, premortal life, temple, Enoch, Messiah — we include them as witnesses, not as canon.
We draw on FAIR Latter-day Saints, Scripture Central, the Interpreter Foundation, Gospel Topics Essays, and faithful voices such as Daniel C. Peterson, Kerry Muhlestein, Brant Gardner, John Gee, Royal Skousen, Ward Radio, Thoughtful Faith, Keystone / David Snell, Saints Unscripted, and Let’s Talk with Hayden Carroll. Suggested videos on topic pages come only from those faithful channels and from the Church’s official YouTube. Follow every link to the original.
Missing a question? Suggest it. We’ll show you related pages first so we don’t duplicate the library. If it’s still new, sign in and send it. The admin dashboard is where ideas get approved — then Grok writes a full topic page in the same faithful voice.
Ask Grok on any topic page for a follow-up. In this app Grok answers only as a believing Latter-day Saint apologist — never as a referee between faith and its critics.
