Is the Book of Mormon a real ancient record, or a nineteenth-century invention?
The Restoration presents the Book of Mormon as a genuine ancient record, translated by gift and power of God. Internal Hebrew structures, Old World geography, and a growing web of convergences are what we would expect of a real text — not a frontier novel.
